Behind the Photos…

My name is Dan Hurst and I am currently in my final year of studying to become a teacher at the University of Cumbria.

From the age of eleven I have been a keen motorsport enthusiast, and participant. Between 2001 and 2009 I was involved in Stock Car Racing at Warton Stock Car Club and Roosecote Raceway.

Since 2009 I have been taking part in a number of motorsport disciplines with West Cumbria Motorsport Club. I use a 1977 Ford Fiesta MK1 (1800 Zetec) and a 1978 Ford Escort MK2 RS Mexico in autotests, autosolos, road rallies, and stage rallying.

During my involvement with the motorsporting industry, my passion for photography has developed. Diversity is the key to my photography – if something captures my eye, I capture the moment.
